Making Disciples on Campus
August 20, 2010I was a part of CCF as a student for the entirety of my undergraduate experience. While in the ministry I was discipled by Kellar and I was a student leader as well. The experience impacted my life in multiple ways. I was able to grow and learn more about Christ while focusing on my personal relationship with him and what He wanted me to do with what was coming up, life after graduation.
The skills, knowledge, and spiritual growth I had throughout my undergraduate time developed gifts and passions that continue to live now that I have graduated. Through being discipled I understood the importance of actually following through with the great commission! Once I experienced this first hand I could not help but continue the cycle! Christ has told us to “Go and make disciples.” I am a firm believer that if He tells us to do something, He will surely supply us with the abilities to complete the tasks!
Through my time at CCF God equipped me not only with the ability to personally grow spiritually but also to make disciples! I had the opportunity to do this through an internship with CCF once I graduated and I continue to do this post internship. God has placed so many people in my life in whom I can invest! I have had the chance to get involved with the youth and young adult ministry at my home church and I have found people in both areas who have invested in me and people to disciple! He has also blessed me with the same opportunity at work, a local high school.
I have continued to be amazed at the tasks in which God has entrusted me and how He always gives me the tools, words, and abilities to do them! He has many venues in which He can work, I am happy that He chose to use Campus Christian Fellowship to prepare me for where I am today!
